Vetlyx Care, on the other hand, is built for pet owners and is completely free to use. It allows pet parents to view their pet's full medical history, track vaccinations, receive appointment reminders, and access documents like prescriptions and lab results — all from their smartphone. The key difference is that Pro is the business tool that generates and manages the data, while Care is the consumer app that gives pet owners transparent access to that same data.

Currently, yes — to access your pet's records through Vetlyx Care, your veterinary clinic needs to be using Vetlyx Pro as their practice management system. This is because Vetlyx Care displays the same data that your vet enters in Vetlyx Pro, ensuring you always have accurate, up-to-date information. The good news: if your clinic isn't using Vetlyx Pro yet, you can recommend us to them! We're also working on features that will allow pet owners to manually log health information for clinics not yet on the platform.
Yes! Vetlyx Care allows you to connect to multiple veterinary clinics and view all records in one unified timeline. This is especially useful if your pet sees different specialists — for example, a regular veterinarian, a cardiologist, and a dental specialist. Each clinic's records appear together in your pet's profile, giving you and any new provider a complete picture of your pet's health history. You can also manage multiple pets in the same account, each with their own connections to relevant clinics.
